Join in on our youth council

Our youth council is an advocacy group that meets to discuss issues as it relates to gun violence, as well as volunteer to take action. We will work alongside other gun violence activism groups, and make a difference as a community, one step at a time. By joining our youth council, you will get to participate in various different volunteer opportunities, whether it is newsletter writing, organizing a letter writing campaign, or working on an art advocacy project. To join, simply fill out an application linked below. This youth council is open to people of all interests and skillsets.

Write to your representatives

Writing a letter to your representatives about a specific issue regarding gun violence can be a great way to get your voice out there. We make it simple here at ATX Youth GVA by providing a comprehensive letter writing toolkit and template for you to get started. Whether you prefer emailing or mailing, getting your voice across and urging lawmakers to make a difference is a super effective way to take action. Be an Art Advocate

​One of the biggest things that we promote is the key idea of Artwork to End Gun Violence. Artwork may seem unorthodox, but it can truly make a difference. Youth that enjoy art, frequently create art, or even want to participate in some small form can submit artworks to send their message about gun violence out to the world.
